Adjustable Regulators - Negative Single Output Standard

Negative single output adjustable voltage regulators are electronic devices that provide a stable, regulated output voltage that is lower than the input voltage. These regulators operate by using negative feedback to maintain the output voltage at a fixed level, regardless of variations in the input voltage or load conditions. Negative single output adjustable regulators are commonly referred to as linear regulators, as they operate by continuously adjusting a variable resistance element to maintain the desired output voltage.

Negative single output adjustable regulators are often used in applications that require a stable and reliable voltage source, such as in power supplies for microcontrollers and other electronic devices. Linear regulators have the advantage of providing low output noise, high input-output voltage differential, and good line and load regulation. However, they are less efficient than switching regulators and require a minimum voltage drop between the input and output voltage to maintain regulation, which can lead to higher power dissipation and heat generation.

Negative single output adjustable voltage regulators can be designed using bipolar transistors or MOSFETs, and can be used in a range of applications, including audio amplifiers, battery chargers, and instrumentation.
