Fixed Sine SAW & STW Oscillators

Fixed Sine SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) and STW (Stacked-Waveguide) oscillators are electronic devices that generate stable sine wave signals for use in a variety of applications, such as communication systems, test and measurement equipment, and frequency synthesizers. They use different types of resonators to generate a stable sine wave signal.

SAW oscillators use a SAW resonator, which is a device that uses acoustic waves to generate a stable frequency. The resonator is designed to produce a sine wave signal by shaping the acoustic waves as they propagate through the substrate material. SAW oscillators offer high frequency stability and low phase noise, making them suitable for use in communication systems.

STW oscillators use a stacked-waveguide resonator, which is a type of resonator that consists of multiple layers of waveguide material arranged in a specific configuration. When an electric field is applied to the resonator, it generates a stable sine wave signal. STW oscillators offer high frequency stability, low phase noise, and low power consumption, making them suitable for use in low-noise oscillator circuits.
