Fixed Regulators - Negative Single Output Standard

Fixed regulators are voltage regulators that are designed to provide a constant output voltage regardless of the input voltage or the load current. These regulators are available in different packages and have different output voltage ratings. Fixed regulators are commonly used in electronic circuits to provide a stable voltage to power various components.

Fixed regulators can be classified into two types: negative and positive. Negative regulators provide a negative output voltage, while positive regulators provide a positive output voltage. They can also be classified based on their output voltage: single output or multiple output. Fixed regulators with a single output provide a constant output voltage, whereas those with multiple outputs provide more than one fixed output voltage.

Fixed regulators have several advantages over other types of regulators, such as simplicity, reliability, and low cost. They are also easy to use and do not require any external components to function. However, the main disadvantage of fixed regulators is that they cannot be adjusted to provide different output voltages. This limitation can be overcome by using adjustable regulators, which allow the output voltage to be adjusted within a certain range.
