Feature Benefit Bullets

Approvals (V): UL

Having UL approval ensures that the cable meets safety and quality standards set by UL, making it a reliable choice for electrical installations.

Construction: STRANDED

Using stranded construction improves flexibility and resistance to fatigue, making the cable suitable for applications that involve frequent bending or movement.

Jacket Material: FLUORINATED ETHYLENE PROPYLENE

The use of fluorinated ethylene propylene as jacket material provides excellent thermal and chemical resistance, increasing the durability of the cable in various environmental conditions.

Rated Voltage: 300 V

The cable is rated for a voltage of 300 V, making it suitable for low to medium voltage applications, providing a safe and reliable electrical connection.

Conductor Finish: SILVER

Using silver as the conductor finish improves conductivity and corrosion resistance, enhancing the overall performance and longevity of the cable.

Insulator Material: FLUORINATED ETHYLENE PROPYLENE

Similar to the jacket material, using fluorinated ethylene propylene as the insulator material enhances insulation properties and protects the cable from external factors, ensuring safe operation.

Maximum Operating Temperature: 200 °C

With a high maximum operating temperature of 200°C, the cable can withstand elevated temperatures without compromising its performance, making it suitable for harsh environments.

Minimum Operating Temperature: -65 °C

The cable's low minimum operating temperature of -65°C makes it suitable for cold weather applications where flexibility and performance at low temperatures are essential.

Wire Gauge (AWG): 28

The use of a smaller wire gauge (28 AWG) allows for more flexibility and easier installation in tight spaces, making it a versatile choice for various applications.

Length: 30.48 mm

The specified length of 30.48 mm provides enough material for various installations and allows for customization based on specific project requirements.

Stranding: 7X36

The cable's 7X36 stranding configuration enhances flexibility and resistance to breakage, ensuring long-term reliability in applications with repeated bending or flexing.

Cross Section Area: 0.081 mm2

The specified cross-sectional area of 0.081 mm2 is suitable for carrying low to medium currents, making the cable ideal for applications with moderate power requirements.

Conductor Material: COPPER ALLOY

Using a copper alloy as the conductor material combines the conductivity of copper with the strength and durability of other metals, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Rated Current: 1.5 A

With a rated current of 1.5 A, the cable is capable of safely carrying moderate electrical currents, making it suitable for various power transmission and distribution applications.

No. of Conductors: 16

Having 16 conductors allows for more complex wiring configurations and increased versatility in applications where multiple electrical connections are required.

Wire & Cable Type: FLAT CABLE

The flat cable design offers space-saving benefits and easier installation in tight spaces, making it a convenient choice for applications with limited room for wiring.

Manufacturer Highlights

Molex

Molex LLC is a manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems. Molex offers over 100,000 products across a variety of industries, including data communications, medical, industrial, automotive and consumer electronics. They are notable for pioneering the Molex connector, which has seen universal adoption in personal computing. The company is considered the second largest electronic connector company in the world. Molex was established in 1938 by Frederick Krehbiel. The company began by making flowerpots out of an industrial byproduct plastic called Molex. Krehbiel developed this material by combining asbestos tailings, coal tar pitch, and limestone. Aside from flower pots, Molex also sold salt shakers before it expanded into electrical connectors and sensors.Later they made connectors for General Electric and other appliance manufacturers out of the same plastic. Molex acquired Woodhead Industries in 2006; the largest acquisition in the former's history at the time.
