While this chip crunch has disrupted the operation of many industries, the effect on the automotive industry was the strongest, primarily because vehicle OEMs overlooked the fragilities of the semiconductor supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>Since COVID&#8217;s initial impacts, the automotive industry has been trying to restore the supply-demand balance; however, full recovery is nowhere near in sight.
